- 1/2 kg rice
- 25 o gm white chollay boiled/chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp Haldi turmeric powder
- 1 st red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 Tsp whole gara
- m masala
- 1 Tsp salt
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 pinch yellow food colour
- 1/2 cup yoghurt
- 2 Tomatoes
- 2 onion
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 cup oil
Instructions to make to make Cholay ki biryani
- 1st wash & soak rice for 30 min in water.
- In pan add oil,add all whole spices, ginger garlic paste, then add sliced onions & cook it for 5 min on medium flame.
- When onion becomes golden add all powder spices & cut tomatoes, yoghurt & again cook for 5 min when oil separates add boiled chickpeas..
- Cook ot for 2 min then add soaked rice & water & cook on high flame for 5 min when water evaporates & bubbles comes then put it on dum...
- Check rice if it done then put the flame off.
- Serve hot with raita,chutney enjoy...
