  1. Wash yellow moong dal and rice. Soaked in water for half an hour. Drain the water.
  2. Take a pressure cooker. Heat the ghee on medium flame. Add cumin, asafoetida and cloves. When it cracked add soaked dal and rice. Saute for 1 minute on low flame. Now combine salt turmeric powder and water. Mix well and close the lid.
  3. On high flame apply a whistle and switch off the gas with three whistles on medium flame.
  4. Add roasted cumin powder and salt in curd.
  5. When cooker's pressure is released, open the lid. Add ghee and mix well.
  6. Take out the healthy, Nutritious & delicious KHICHDI in serving plate. Serve hot with curd, salad (cucumber,tomato green chilli)& roasted papad. Garnish with nimbu chutney and Pomegranate seeds. Enjoy!!
